Halloweenie Cupcakes.
So here are the final products! I made EVERYTHING entirely from scratch — so I feel quite accomplished. Pumpkin spice (with just enough hint of the spices and the pumpkin flavor isn’t too overbearing since I am not a big fan of pumpkin) and chocolate pumpkin (definately a good mixture between the chocolate and pumpkin because you can taste both flavors). I made a cream cheese frosting as well as royal icing for the decorations. It was tough decorating because of the difference in consistencies of the frostings — the cream cheese was a little creamier and was runny (is that a word?) while royal icing had that stiff consistency that hardens very easily. I also used edible glitter gel (the only premade ingredient I had) for some of the decorations. Hope you enjoy!
And I was too lazy to buy Halloween cupcake liners so instead I used up my animal liners with a big monkey face on the bottom! cute. =)

Here are my mummies - like I said before, the cream cheese frosting was very runny and so you can see some of the lines begin to blend in. And yes, my mummies both have a nice smile on their face because they aren’t mean! Other than the blending of the frosting that I think these look pretty good.

Frankencupcake.
I only made two of them and this was the only one I ended up liking. Somehow I keep thinking it resembles more of a Ninja Turtle instead of Frankenstein. HHMMM. Perhaps I should have changed it into a Ninja Turtle and called it a day. And yes, he is also smiling.

Spiderweb Cupcakes.
Now These were the easiest and I think the best out of all of the cupcake designs just because they look so pretty and it took me the least time to decorate! Now all I am missing are the spooky spiders.

Jack-O-Lantern Cupcakes.
How could we have Halloween Cupcakes without Jack-O-Lantern cupcakes?? It’s similar to the ones I made last year for Maya’s visit but I had used royal icing for all of the decorations last year.

I wanted to leave one of them plain as if it was still in the pumpkin patch.

Graveyard Cupcakes.
How awesome did these come out? I used green cream cheese frosting as the base and then crushed some oreos and cut a milano cookie in half and wrote RIP on it with the edible glitter gel. All they need are a little skeleton hand reaching out from the cupcake!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! =)
